Descendants of Peter Port

This research covers the descendants of the Peter Port family that was located in the Georgetown County and Horry County areas of South Carolina.

Pine Bluff Cemetery

Several family members are buried in Pine Bluff Cemetery located in Georgetown County.

I. Peter Port was born about 1833. He was a Farmer.

Sarah Jane Parker was born about 1834. Peter Port and Sarah Jane Parker had the following children:

A. Benjamin Franklin Port was born on August 22, 1854. He died on April 15, 1919 at the age of 64.

Rebecca Jane Woodward was born on October 16, 1857. She died on November 2, 1894 at the age of 37. Benjamin Franklin Port and Rebecca Jane Woodward had the following children:

1. Nealie Port was born on August 1, 1880. She died on September 23, 1914 at the age of 34. She was buried in Richardson Family Cemetery.

Walter R. Richardson, son of Peter Vaught Richardson and Millie M. Richardson, was born on November 17, 1878. He died on August 11, 1956 at the age of 77. He was buried in Richardson Family Cemetery. Nealie Port and Walter R. Richardson had the following child:

a.       Gracey Richardson was born on January 14, 1902. She died on October 9, 1907 at the age of 5 in Marion County, SC. She was buried in Richardson Family Cemetery.

2. Thad Port was born on April 28, 1893. He died on January 13, 1913 at the age of 19.

Mary Ann Strickland was born on April 4, 1874. She died on November 8, 1953 at the age of 79. Benjamin Franklin Port and Mary Ann Strickland had the following child:

3. Mae Port was born on February 15, 1898. She died on August 20, 1985 at the age of 87.

Champ Dalton Pinner, son of Thomas Arthur Pinner and Elizabeth Jane Cox, was born on January 13, 1893. He died on January 17, 1950 at the age of 57. Mae Port and Champ Dalton Pinner had the following child:

a. Nell Pinner was born in 1927. She died in 2003 at the age of 76.

Nell Pinner and Legrand Richardson were married. Legrand Richardson, son of Walter R. Richardson and Mary E. Richardson, was born on April 9, 1923. He died on February 6, 2006 at the age of 82. Nell Pinner and Legrand Richardson had the following children:

i. Legrand Richardson Jr. was born (date unknown).

ii. Michael F. Richardson was born (date unknown).

iii. Nancy Richardson was born (date unknown).

iv. Lodema Richardson was born (date unknown).

B. Mary C. Port was born on January 19, 1857. She died on October 1, 1914 at the age of 57 in Georgetown, SC. She was buried in Pine Bluff Cemetery in Georgetown, SC.

Robert Lowrimore, son of William Andrew Lowrimore and Martha Smith, was born on March 31, 1857. He died on June 12, 1916 at the age of 59 in Georgetown, SC. He was buried on June 13, 1916 in Pine Bluff Cemetery in Georgetown, SC.  Mary C. Port and Robert Lowrimore had the following children:

1. Hattie O. Lowrimore was born on October 15, 1882. She died on June 12, 1916 at the age of 33 in Georgetown, SC. She was buried in Pine Bluff Cemetery in Georgetown, SC.

2. Lela O. Lowrimore was born on January 1, 1884. She died on November 26, 1909 at the age of 25 in Georgetown, SC.

3. Sadie Lowrimore was born in 1891.

4. Queen Lowrimore was born in 1893.

5. Lissie Lowrimore was born in 1896.

6. Robert Murphy Lawrimore was born on April 8, 1897. He died on November 24, 1962 at the age of 65 in Georgetown, SC. He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown, SC.

Myrtle Porter, daughter of John Preston Porter and Elizabeth Bourne, was born on October 1, 1903. She died on March 18, 1981 at the age of 77. She was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown, SC. Robert Murphy Lawrimore and Myrtle Porter had the following child:

a.       Robert Lionel Lawrimore was born on May 27, 1922. He died in 1969 at the age of 47 in Georgetown, SC. He was buried in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown, SC. Robert served in the military US Navy, Served in WWII.

Peggy Clark, daughter of Charles Caesar Clark and Mabel Kate Greene, was born on January 26, 1926. She died on January 18, 2015 at the age of 88. Robert Lionel Lawrimore and Peggy Clark had the following children:

i. Robert Lionel Lawrimore Jr. was born in Georgetown, SC. He served in the military US Navy.

ii. Charles Stanley Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

iii. Mary Elizabeth Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

iv. Deborah D. Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

v. Patricia Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

vi. Connie Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

vii. Julia Lawrimore was born in Georgetown, SC.

Richard B. Tindall, son of John Tindall and Sarah Adelle Harriett Lowrimore, was born in 1866. Charlotte R. Port and Richard B. Tindall had the following children:

1. George B. Tindall was born in 1891.

3. Sarah H. Tindall was born in 1902.

4. Benjamin H. Tindall was born in 1904.

5. Tindall was born in 1906.

G. Emma E. Port was born in 1870.

H. Thomas Walter Port was born on December 5, 1871. He died on October 17, 1872 at the age of 0 in Horry County, SC.
